Embracing Vulnerability: A Journey from Fear to Growth

Starting a business is like stepping into the unknown, a journey filled with excitement, uncertainty and moments of vulnerability. When I embarked on this adventure without a clear plan, propelled only by my passion and the courage to take the leap, little did I know, this decision would lead to a transformational journey, marked by both triumphs and challenges. Along the way, I've learned that success lies not in perfection, but the willingness to be authentic and imperfectly human.

The journey hasn't been easy. There have been setbacks and moments of doubt, but through it all, I've remained focused on my values, and my commitment to grow. By embracing vulnerability, Ive opened myself up to new opportunities and forged genuine connections with so many. I remind myself that KIBO was set up with my children at the heart, their simplistic, beautiful view of life inspired me to change and view the world through a different lens. As an entrepreneur, I've grown in ways I never thought possible. I've become more resourceful, more confident and more focused on helping people.

At a recent learning experience on imposter I shared how I ironically felt like an imposter. During this time we discussed how values can change: that as a CEO my values were based on success, integrity, honesty, leadership, vision and now they are freedom, happiness, purpose, love and growth. This moment was transformational, an acknowledgment that as we undergo a natural evolution, our experiences, perspectives and priorities change . We have the freedom to change and reinvent ourselves as we navigate life's journey.

KIBO began as an executive coaching business, but in three months the landscape has shifted, it has blossomed into a vibrant platform helping individuals transition in their lives and change their habits. Through energy, fun, and growth we're creating a community centred around personal development and empowerment.

So, to those who dream of starting their own business, I say this: don' just talk about it, do it. What is your KIBO? Embrace the fear, confront the imposter, and take the leap into the unknown. It is only by showing your vulnerability that we can truly discover our strengths and unlock our full potential. And although the journey may be challenging, the rewards are beyond measure.
